Description
Our girls have been stealing the spotlight lately, but our handsome line up of boys haven't been left by the wayside! Rather, we've been prepping two of our youngest and readying one of our veterans to get back out there and show what they've got.
First up was our youngest boy, Midgardsormr, or Gar as he's known around the house. We've been waiting on him to mature a little before getting on the field for real, and it was finally time. There's still a bit of puppy pep in him, but it shows in his pure enthusiasm while doing the exercises, especially when it's time for recalls. Gar is one of our sportier type dogs in the kennel, and will bring great balance to our breeding program once he's old enough and meets our standards. Today we were just happy to earn his BH!
Next was our handome young dog from Kennel Nordblick, Kofi. We've been beyond thrilled with the growth and maturity we've seen from this boy ever since we brought him back home to the states with us. Kofi is finally two years old and ready to begin more serious training, so we've brought him out to take his BH test as well. We're blessed with many wonderful dogs, especially this boy thanks to our dear friend Minken. Kofi performed better than we could have asked for, his attention flawless during heeling, his tail never stopping wagging. We're very proud of him achieving his BH.
Last was our hunk, Danger. This serious boy entered for his IPO2 and took the cake. Actually, he took the trophy for high in tracking! As usual his tracking was methodical, yet swift. His obedience was spot on, but not as flashy as our other two, showing his serious nature. His protection work was stellar, yet we lost points when he stalled on outing right away on the command. All's well that ends well though, and now we know what to work on before trailing for his final IPO title.
